Insights from My Personal Branding Photography Sessions

The images featured below are from a personal branding session conducted last summer. I particularly love the second photo—capturing harsh lighting just right and finding the perfect angle really showcases the subject's character.

Last year was intense, as I logged between 50-60 hours weekly, fully dedicating myself to my photography and business before reaching a burnout point at the end of summer. This effort had begun in early 2022, just after things fully reopened from the pandemic. I took seven trips in the last seven months, with one of the main goals being to recharge.

Just this past week, I hit a new personal record since last summer, clocking in 64 hours. These hours included driving to photoshoots, editing, business development, website updates, and networking over coffee. It seems that the seven trips over seven months have indeed fulfilled part of their purpose!

This spring, I am pouring my energy into completely revamping the website. Operating on a lean budget has compelled me to learn the intricacies of SEO optimization firsthand. I’m excited to share that this journey is not only enhancing my site but also equipping me with robust SEO skills—a valuable asset I can proudly add to my resume.

Whether you’re looking for branding insights or just curious about the life of a dedicated photographer, follow along on my journey as I navigate the challenges and triumphs of building a business that truly reflects my passion for photography.
